    The American Revolution was a colonial revolt which occurred between 1765 and 1783. The American Patriots in the Thirteen Colonies defeated the British in the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783) with the assistance of France, winning independence from Great Britain and establishing the United States of America.The American colonials proclaimed "no taxation without representation" starting with the Stamp Act Congress in 1765.

    was a war between Great Britain and its 13 Colonies in America which declared independence in July 1776 as the United States of America. Patriot protests against taxation without representation followed the Stamp Act and escalated into boycotts,
    which culminated in 1773 with the Sons of Liberty destroying a shipment of tea in Boston Harbor.in 1765 the first stamp act , but they refused to pay .
